Goal
Prudential RIA is a public website tailored to the fee-only advisor community, separate from prudential.com, yet upholding brand uniformity.
Purpose
The project's objective was to create, build, and introduce a comprehensive digital public experience for the fee-only Investment Advisor distribution channel. This platform aimed to involve advisors with Prudential's innovative tools and research while preserving Prudential's branding consistency.
Problem
Increase digital content engagement with the RIA audience by showcasing our solutions, the clients we cater to, educational resources, and leadership expertise.
Outcome
The website was introduced to the RIA audience and received a strong initial response with significant engagement impressions. It served as an excellent foundation for comprehending Prudential's offerings and the requirements of RIA clients.
Process
The design journey started with insights gathered from our product and sales teams to establish essential metrics. Subsequently, we developed a clickable prototype using InVision, showcasing a user's possible interactions. This prototype was valuable for conducting demonstrations, presenting to stakeholders, and collaborating with developers.
User feedback indicated that the wireframes did not align with Prudential's branding, prompting us to shift towards a more contemporary design approach.
Code
The most enjoyable aspect of this project for me was creating React graph components utilizing the Highcharts API, enabling users to interactively visualize data points on dynamic graphs instead of static images and spreadsheets.
Learnings
While my initial involvement in this project was limited, I capitalized on my development expertise and UX knowledge to introduce an interactive element and enhance user comprehension within the distribution process. This ultimately contributes value to the business.
